They expand their business very well and i am sure that anyone who lives at kota kinabalu should know about this place. Their have several branches now at Lintas, Damai, Centre point and Wisma Merdeka ( recently opened)

They serve variety of drinks and food there from fresh juice to special tea..
They also have western food, noodles and cakes but i never try any of it before.
So far, i really like their milky tea with tiny pearl because it's not that sweet and the smell of the mixture of milk and tea is just nice=).
Besides that, the Passion green tea and Apple green tea also nice.
Im not a green tea person, but i do like the green tea here at Frenz.

Upperstar Pepper Grill and Bar

So last sunday, i went to Upperstar at Lintas branch with my girl friends.
Obviously this is not my first visit to Upperstar, i usually went there at night but my friends wants to go for a lunch at Upperstar, so yeah..
There is another two branch of this restaurant which located in Damai and Kota Kinabalu Town ( Just opposite Hyatt Hotel or Wisma Merdeka Mall).
It is a well decorated restaurant and you can enjoy local food like Nasi Lemak , Curry Chicken and also western food!
This restaurant also offers you lunchtime set from RM5.95 only.
Just add another RM1.90 (i think,i forgot actually) for Ice Lemon Tea or Soft drinks.
Oh by the way the offer only starts at 12 until 530pm..or something like that. =)

Nasi lemak..it was okay...but i don't know why they served me a SAUSAGE instead of chicken( from the menu)

Welcome Seafood Restaurant

Fresh steamed Tilapia fish with special sauce..i like it=)

**I can hear fireworks everywhere right now, i wish it stops by midnight haha**
Anyway, i have a mixed blood of Chinese and Kadazan, so i do celebrate chinese new year too!
My mum brought us to go to Welcome Seafood Restaurant @ Asia City Branch to have dinner just now.
Well i think it's obvious that this restaurant is a seafood restaurant..from the name right?haha
We reached there like 6PM and it's already full.
Luckily my mum know the boss there and we got a table outside ( better than none)
So, we ordered Fried mee, Steamed Fish with special sauce, Crab, Pai Kut Wong, Butter prawn and vegetable. ( i don't know how to read chinese so yeah i don't know what's the specific name for the dish hehe)
Guess what? It only costs us RM114.50!! cheap right?

I dont eat prawn much...i only eat the butter.but the prawn is fresh!

You should try this. the crab meat is so damn fresh and tasty of cause=)

Borneo Wild Treasure Restaurant @ Bundusan Square

 

So, Dim Sum anyone?
After my class today, babe pick me up and we go for a breakfast in Bundusan.
We decided to go to Borneo Wild Treasure because it's near my university =)

Borneo Wild Treasure Restaurant serve one of the best Dim Sum restaurant in KK which located @ Bundusan Square.
There are variety of Dim Sum you can choose to eat.
They also have Kon Lau Men ( they make their own mee), Porridge and they served crocodile meat=) it's good for your health.

Price              : Reasonable. He pay RM32.00 for our brunch.

Hawker Stall @ Lido

Ever been to Hawker stall @ Lido before?
During the daytime it's a market, where you can find alot of fresh vegetables,meat and fish here.
I'm not sure about the price because i rarely go to market =) hehe

At night time, you can find a lot of food here especially local chinese food such as Fried Kuey Teow, Omelette, Satay, Dumpling, Bah Kut Teh, Seafood and many more. Go Find out yourself=)
and of cause the price is very reasonable and it's actually very cheap if you want a budget dinner/supper because most of the food is served in large quantities. So pay less,eat more hehe
Oh by the way, i think it starts at 6PM onwards until midnight or 4AM. (i think)

THE CURRY CHICKEN IS SO ADDICTIVE. YOU SHOULD TRY IT TOO.

The dinner only cost us RM14.00 including the chinese tea. Cheap right?=)

Gunter's Gasthaus, German Restaurant @ Likas

Yes? No? Never heard of it perhaps?

Well, i heard of it before from my friends but i never been there..not until last tuesday,15th february 2011. I went there with my boyfriend to celebrate out monthly anniversary.

 I do not have enough time to take pictures all around but i do snap some pictures=)

You can see the restaurant is beautifully decorated with valentine's theme..quite nice (ignore the wording in the picture haha)

You can also choose to sit outside or inside, whichever you prefer.

Cheesy Pasta...i forgot the name. but it's delicious=) Only RM26.90

               

Jumbo octoberfeast.(homemade sausage i think,nice+big+long haha) one word: YUMMMMMM!only RM29.90

Well, the dinner costs us around RM66 plus. But since we have 50% discount coupon for a'la pasta so we pay only RM47plus. Thanks Johannes for the coupon=)

Sushi King @1Borneo

 

Have you been to Sushi King before?

 It's a Japanese Restaurant which located @1Borneo lower ground next to the Chicken Rice Shop.

The price is very reasonable and i think it is much more cheaper than most of the Japanese Restaurant in KK. 

A set dish usually served with Steamed Rice, Miso Soup, Japanese Egg Custard and Ice cream.

Salmon Steak : Broiled Salmon in BBQ sauce. Only RM21.90

 

Tori Khomi set : Chicken with special sauce. This is very delicious and it cost only RM20.90

I love to travel, eat and try out new food.
This is my first time of writing a short review of food in Kota Kinabalu (KK) or maybe all over Malaysia =)
In a multi-racial country like Malaysia, making the right menu is essential.
You can get all type of food in KK from local to western cuisine and also seafood.
I'm not a seafood lover but i will recommend you a good place to dine in with a reasonable price.
My blog is about giving a recommendation to anyone who like to dine and try out new food especially in KK because i grew up here.
I'll try to update this blog as soon as possible.
For the pictures taken, i usually use Nikon CoolPix S3000. I know, i know...someday i'm going to get myself a DSLR :)
FYI i'm still a student, so in this blog ( for now) i will only introduce places where you can find variety of delicious food and affordable by everyone  :)
