A'roma Ristorante @ Damai

Monday, April 30, 2012

I went to Coffee Bean at Damai  yesterday to have a drink with my boyfriend there but unfortunately they run out of ice, so no ice blended available.  The weather is really hot and i really need something cold like milkshake. :/
So baby told me to go somewhere else. We went to this Italian restaurant called A'roma Ristorante, which is located one row with Tong Hing Supermarket and next to some stationery shop. Previously the shop is actually a Bakery shop, but now it became an Italian restaurant.
I think they merged with Southern Bakery or partnership or something like that.
But good news everyone, the price is slightly cheaper than other Italian restaurants like Little Italy & Bella Italiana in KK. I spotted another branch of A'roma Ristorante at Lido area, the row of shops opposite some furniture shops.
I wanted to tried out their bolognese and lasagna cause it look so delish but i already ate at home. Maybe i'll consider to have dinner here for my coming birthday at this restaurant :)
Now everyone can enjoy a good italian meal without paying more.
But since we only go there for a drink, we didn't try out different meal except for the pizza.

Set pizza: Margherita RM9.90 with Ice Lemon Tea/Lime
Thin crust pizza and crispy. It was delish!
from 10am - 3 pm only.
 Strawberry milkshake and Vanilla milkshake
RM5.90 each

You know what? i'll definitely come back for more :)
Total paid is RM21.70 for two person.

If you are reading this and you're wondering who is Rachel Hayley, well she's my niece~ ;D
haha I have two nephew and 1 niece in total right now.
This baby angel was born on the 3rd on October 2011 around 6pm. I was on the way back home and suddenly my brother in law called me(coz my mum didn't pickup her phone) to tell me the good news :D. Thank GOD i have a niece now..in the future, i also want a daughter so i can buy her all the pretty clothes, jewelry, makeup and everything i think it looks good on her. Btw, i'm the one who choose names for my niece..nice kan the name? hehe anyway, last sunday is Rachel's fullmoon, we had to celebrate it earlier due to some reason. The catering is from Kedai Kopi 2020, Damai. We ordered the same dishes so yeah, you will see the same picture again here..
More information about the catering, checkout the old post here Kedai Kopi 2020 Catering and Kedai Kopi 2020 part 1.

Introducing baby Rachel Hayley D.
Day 5 :D ( Rachel aka Fei moi)

Red egg and Chicken with ginger is a must to celebrate a baby's first month birthday calls in chinese culture. Red colour is always use in almost everything in chinese culture,so don't ask me why must use red colour la k? haha  ;D
The red eggs symbolize happiness and renewal of life....or something like that.
No one can beat my mum's wong chiu kai ( Chicken with ginger)!
I've been eating this since i was a kid. So i kinda picky when i eat this outside. Most of the shop serves tasteless Wong Chiu Kai...except at some chinese shop at Gaya Street area.
I love the smell ,the strong taste of ginger and the right combination of rice wine, sugar and salt in my mum's cooking. and i surely can cook like her~hehe
hehe for your information  ginger is a warming food and is considered good for new mothers who are deemed to be susceptible to cold. You can also try this soup to warm up your body;D

Yummy homemade baked chocolate cake!
hehe I baked this cake the whole day myself! its was so tiring and i had to do many work....but trust me, it was damn delicious! You can see the cake is rich with chocolate and the cake is spongy too!
Anyone interested to order please contact me :D check my contact number below.

Aunty Mrs.Tay, my mummy with Randall ( GorGor  Gorilla -  1year n 7months, i know he kinda too big for his age...that's why we called him gorgor gorilla~) and Rachel :D
Lastly.......

My contact number...

Gotcha!!! haha i was just kidding giving out my number here and about the cake thing~
i still don't have an oven at home so i can't baked a cake.hahaha ;D
But it was really a homemade cake but i'm not sure where my brother in law order this..it cost around less than RM20 and for real, it is delicious :D

Kedai Kopi Xing Wan @ Damai

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

Hi guys! so how are you?:D
I'm having this mixture of emotions right now. My tutorial will start next week, but i don't know i should be happy or sad. It's my last semester,i should really enjoy my last year of being a student right? But i don't know why i feel a little bit sad :( ahhh, crap, back to the real topic.
I went to this shop called Kedai Kopi Xing Wan at Damai for lunch with Esther last monday.
The shop is famous and specialize in Pan Mee.
No wonder the shop is filled with people and the customers are willing to queue in line to wait for a seat.
Just look for a big black signboard at Damai and you can find their shop easily!
Fyi, their menu is mostly in Chinese words, both of us can't read Hanzhi so yeah, main hentam order sajalah haha. We ordered two pan mee and 2 chinese tea.
Total paid for lunch is RM10.
If you are wondering what is Pan Mien, Pan mien or flat flour noodle soup is a hokkien style noodles (i think) usually served with fried anchovies, minced pork, black fungus and sweet leaf, Mani Cai( Cekur Manis) or whatever you call it, i know how it looks like but i'm not sure what they call it :D sorry. The noodles is very smooth and springy. Im not a fan of Pan mien but i think Xing Wan Pan Mee tastes better than many other shops. The soup is not oily and its actually quite tasty and smell good too.
Besides Pan mien soup, they also have Kon lau Pan mien and Claypot Pan mien too! I never try kon lau pan mien or the claypot before so i'll definitely try that next time:D
Overall, i think it was quite delicious :D. Go try it now!

JJ Western Food @ Damai

Thursday, September 15, 2011

I actually planned to go Partyplay @ Lintas tonight but my mum asked me to buy some bread at Damai.. So since i'm at Damai already and i think someone is already hungry,so better eat at JJ Western Food. JJ Western Food is only open at night from 6.30pm - 11.00pm.
It is located at Kedai Kopi Goodluck or opposite Yoyo cafe.
I think all of you have heard that JJ Western Food serves very good chicken chop and Lamb Chop right? I've never try out JJ Western Food before but no doubt that the western food is really delicious! The price is very reasonable too.
Fyi, this place is not halal since they also serves pork chop on their menu...
Whatever dish you choose from the menu, you can have it with black pepper or mushroom sauce.
Both sauce is highly recommended :D But since i don't really like the mushroom taste, i prefer black pepper sauce.
For dinner, we ordered 1 chicken chop with black pepper sauce and Lamb Chop with Mushroom sauce. Thank god,not so many people come to JJ tonight so we would not have to wait that long :D

My chicken Chop with black pepper sauce.  The chicken meat is very tender and meaty. It goes well with black pepper sauce. I feel like ordering another plate of chicken chop actually :D
I really like their chicken chop because of the sauce:D

Chicken Chop only costs RM12,quite cheap compared to other western food shop plus this is really delicious!

Baby's meal : Lamb chop with mushroom sauce. The meat is also very juicy and tender.
This tasty lamb chop is served with a mushroom sauce, it taste pretty good :D
The main dish is mainly served with potato, sweet bun, baked beans and salad. The potato taste normal but the mini sweet bun is not bad.
RM18

One word : DELICIOUS!

im using my monkey and banana earing! it's so cute~

Overall rating;
Food and drinks : 5/5
Services : 3.5/5 ( but im satisfied with the food quality)

Burger King @ Putatan

Sunday, August 14, 2011

If you ask me to choose between McD and BK, in terms of price, quantity and food rating, i would definitely chose BK~ Actually the price of these two fast food restaurant is about the same.
But since McD's have this lunchtime 50% off promotion on selected meals like Everyday, i will definitely go for something cheaper :D
But i still like BK better because Burger king has the most great tasting burgers.
In KK, i think you can find BK at Damai, KK Town(Segama), Putatan and KK Airport.
Anyway, for lunch, we went to Burger King @ Putatan since baby have some BK coupons :D.
We order 1 royal chicken and  1 set of French Chicken Large Meal.
Total paid for lunch is RM22.60
My all time favourite is French Chicken~ what is yours?

I didn't know about this~
