Second day in Seoul, thank god that the weather is half cloudy and half sunny with strong wind...so it's not that hot :D
We have to get ready and eat breakfast at the Koreana Hotel before we proceed to Namsangol Hanok Village.
So here's the activities for day 2
Breakfast at Koreana HotelNamsangol Hanok Village
N Seoul Tower
Lunch at Orientin Chinese and Thai Restaurant
Ginseng Centre Hotgyenamu
Korea Cosmetic Shop : The Face Shop
Dongwha Mall
Yi Sun- sin and King Sejong Statue and Gyeongbokgung Palace (not in tour schedule)

We had breakfast at the Hotel Cafe.
Annie said today activities will be half day visit places and after lunch we will go shopping! yayyy!
You need the coupon to eat here :) |
Namsangol Hanok Village.
A visit to South Korea would not be complete without visiting the Korean Folk Village.
We don't have to buy the tickets because everything is already provided by our tour guide.
Namsangol Hanok Village is located at Suwon. I think it takes around 20-30 minutes from Koreana Hotel. Hanok means korean traditional houses. So basically you can see many traditional lifestyle here.
For tourists to experience the culture of traditional Korean life, you can see various traditional houses, crafts, and many other traditional stuffs here.
Annie told us that in Korea during the past, only the rich and high class people can wear the beautiful traditional dress,Hanbok. The lower class can only wear the white clothes.
When they walk, Korean ladies have to put their two hands near their stomach and their head must bow down all the time. For Korean man, big size man is always considered as a powerful and rich people because they never work.
They will walk slow and proudly with the hands behind.
Annie also said that, a high class korean people will walk, talk, eat and do everything slow.haha :D
Korean traditional music is also produced by high class and low class people. It is easy to distinguish between the two classes songs by listening to the beat of the song. If it slow and makes you feels sleepy then the song is composed by a high class people. So basically everything is divided into high class and low class people including house, colour, size, music, clothes and materials.

i don't know what tree is this actually.. |
My mum met her primary school classmate! :D |
After that, we proceed to N Seoul Tower. Its not that far from The Namsangol Hanok Village by car. I don't take much pictures here actually.
N Seoul Tower is one of the popular spot in South Korea and if you are a fan of Korean Drama, you will know this place!:D
You need ticket to get in here, which i don't know how much it costs.
From the tower here, you can see the beautiful view of Seoul city. But the night view is so much better than the day view of cause. Annie told us, 80% of South Korea is mainly mountain, so you see mountains everywhere.
Electric bus! Bila lah KK/Msia mau buat begini?? |
Annie and the s.korea mascot! |
There are many couples going on dates every day!
It makes me miss my baby so much :(, thank god it is only a 3 days trip!
I swear i'm gonna go back to Seoul very soon with him :D If you look around, almost every tourist attraction has many cafes and restaurants with romantic settings plus all the decoration of the place is very unique and creative too!
cool oohh~ |
My daddy and mummy~ |
We bought 2 ice-creams from Cold Stone which costs us KRW5300 eachx2 = RM29.50. I bet you cant find anything like this in KK for sure!
Mine is Cookie Overload and My dad want the Strawberry Banana Rendezvous! 5/5 star! |
Ginseng Centre Hotgyenamu
After that, we went to Ginseng Centre Hotgyenamu. It is a Duty free shop and well they sells Ginseng capsule, powder and other ginseng products.. Korea doesn't have any natural resources but they have the right climate and soil for ginseng cultivation. Korean Ginseng is one of the best ginseng in the world. It took approximately 16 years for a ginseng to mature so that explains why the ginseng price is very expensive. Ginseng is good for maintaining physical strength and cure diseases. Annie said most korean people started to feed ginseng to their 7months old baby. For good result, you have to continuously take the ginseng...Don't think of wasting your money if you can't afford to buy more ginseng.
No pictures allowed here,so yeah..We didn't buy any ginseng products here but we bought some Korean Chocolates and seaweed:D
Orientin Chinese and Thai Restaurant ( Lunch time)
For lunch, we are having the Korean Chinese food at Orientin Chinese and Thai Restaurant. The food was okay but its totally different from our usual chinese food style :D
They serves us Soup (with many spring onions on it),fried egg,Fish (very oily),Chicken, Mixed Veggie and Pork. Do you know what their toothpick is made of?:D
Since Korea basically don't have any natural resources, they mostly import everything from other countries. Well, that explains why everything made in Korea is expensive because they import the materials from outside. If you found anything cheap here,it's mostly made in China or Thailand.
Since wood is very expensive here, in Korea they don't allow any tree cutting in the mountains.
So, back to the topic...
the toothpick is actually made of potatoes :D haha
According to Annie, you can eat the toothpick, well she did eat it in front of us..:D
Potato Toothpick! |
Korea products! |
Korea Cosmetic Shop,Dongwha Mall, Gyeongbokgung Palace. King Sejong and Yi Sun Sin Statue
I think all ladies know that Missha, Etude house, The Face shop, Skin Food is a Korean brand right? Besides that, Seoul has many other local beauty products where you can get it at really low prices. We went to several duty free cosmetic shops after lunch.Seriously, the price of the cosmetic here is way more cheaper in Malaysia!
I bought alot of face masks and BB cream:D South Korea is where the BB cream craze started.
Fyi,1 mask is only cost KRW1000=RM2.80. Cheap huh?
Plastic surgery is very common in South Korea, so most of them have undergo surgery so that explains why those Kpop celebrities like Wonder Girls, SNSD look so pretty on Tv.
A friend of mine told me, most Korean parents actually give their daughter money for surgery as a graduation present!
I was like.....really??they want a plastic surgery for graduation present?why?
Real Koreans are nothing without makeups according to Annie which i think its true..
Since plastic surgery is so popular, of cause you will need more comestic to make you look more prettier!
No doubt that you can see all cosmetic shops every line in every street!
Next stop, we went to DONGWHA duty free shop. Dongwha is similiar to Yeoju Premium Outlets where you can buy all the branded luxury.
Instead of buying stuffs,my parents wants to go visit the Gyeongbokgung palace and checkout the King Sejong and Yi Sun Sin statue.
Gyeongbokgung Place. |
Nice car everywhere. |
cute huh? those little girl wore the korean traditonal dress :) |
Kawan baru my parents. |
King Sejong Statue. |
Yi Sun-Sin Statue
Yi Sun Sin was a Korean Hero.
He was known for his battle against the Japanese during the past. Yi Sun Sin statue is surrounded by this beautiful fountain and garden and it is located near King Sejong Statue.
So many little kids play with the water fountain that day~ |
Shinsegei and Myungdong Market
After that, we went to Myungdong market! Myungdong is so big and way too crowded...haihh I only managed to shop at Forever21,Zara,Hermes and the rest at "kaki lima". Haha I bought some earings, 1 belt, and few hangbags and clothes.
Seoul has many shopping districts but sadly not all shops open because of their national day and mooncake festival. Annie said usually for koreans, they took 5 days off for their national day! I should thank them or what?
They should give us chance to boost their economy during their holiday. :/
Seoul post office. |
Taste like Ham Chin Piang, KRW600 = RM1.70 |
Tom and Toms everywhere.... |
Seoul Ginseng Tokyechon (Dinner)
For dinner, we went to Seoul Ginseng Tokyecheon. We are having the traditional Korean Chicken Ginseng.
They use baby chicken and stuffed the chicken with ginseng, red dates and rice.
The soup is a normal chicken soup but has very strong chicken fragrant.
You can add ginseng inside if you want.
Overall, it was okay but a bit tasteless for me:D ( 3/5 star!)
After that,we went back to Hotel and get some rest and start packing because we are leaving tomorrow night. We reached Koreana Hotel around 9.00pm plus..it was another tiring day again in seoul.
