Boston @ Karamunsing Capital

Last night i went with Esther for a dinner at Boston, Karamunsing Capital..hehe
So at first, we plan to try out Fatty Chef Restaurant but after checking out the menu ( not so many choices of food) and the price is a bit pricey for that kind of food. I think we better go check out other place first laa..:D but for sure i will try Fatty Chef soon with my baby~ :D
I think a lot of blogger already posted about this place before..but different people, different opinion right? Anyway, this is my first visit to Boston. Before this i thought Boston is a Bar or something like that... remember Texas at Segama?haha
Well, i really thought they served alcohol but actually they don't and here in Boston they serves mostly local and western food (NO PORK). You know what attracts me to go on this place? We checked out the menu outside and i saw a lot of yummy DESSERTS~so yeah, i definitely will give it a try :D
There are way too many choices of food and drinks here! and the price is reasonable and affordable too..For dinner , we ordered Cheese Chicken Burger, Seafood Cheese Baked Rice, Iced Lemon Blueberry and Red Bean Soya Cendol with Gula Melaka. Total paid for dinner is RM40.50.

 My Iced Lemon Blueberry...well it tastes pretty good, a bit sour but it just nice...for me lah, i don't you guys like sour thing or not. but it taste way better than plum la.

Well it was okay lah also. Esther give a rating of 3.5/5..i did try out the rice...its not that bad.. Too cheesy but i like it but i don't really like seafood.. :D

Second Trip ( 4/12/2011)

 I'm so NOT going to order this anymore..i just want the real cendol without Soya Bean. Boston, you should write properly the details on your menu.

 ABC RM7.90 if i'm not mistaken. It was okayla, looks nice, tastes average.

Nothing special bit the roti canai was not that bad.
Instead of using curry or Dal for the gravy, they use sambal :) The sambal smells good too.
First time eating roti canai with sambal. You should try this.

Movies Review : Dream House, What's Your Number, Paranormal Activity 3, The Thing and Love In Disguise

Dream House (2011)

I watched this at cinema, i think it's about 2-3 weeks ago.. im sorry for the late review but recently, I've been really busy with  my assignments and stuffs,so i just don't really have time to update my blog every week:( Haah, back to the topic. So have you watch Dream House before? I think it's a really good movie by the way. The movie staring Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz and Marton Csokas. I'm not going to tell you the summary of this movie because you can easily google for the plot summary yourself :D Overall, Dream House is not a suspense thriller that will surprise you with sudden loud music and cheap scares. All the characters especially Will Atenton ( Daniel Craig) acting is very convincing and real. The overall plot plays games with your mind and keeping you guessing about what's happening next. I really like the plot of this movie :D
So i give a rating of 7/10.

What's Your Number (2011)

Oh yeah baby! it's ANNA FARIS AGAIN! haha I LOOOOOVE HER! DO YOU??
How can you hate someone like Anna Faris? She's really good at playing as a dumb blonde girl ( Just Friends, House Bunny)..haha it's a compliment.
I've been wanting to watch this ever since i saw the trailer on yahoo movies :D
and if you're Rom-Com Fan, trust me you will totally like this movie.
So yeah, this is another good comedy+romance movie that i would recommend you guys to watch.
The movie staring Anna Faris and  CHRIS EVANS :)) The movie plot is actually predictable but you can feel the real laughs and chemistry between the actors. Some scenes is really funny especially when Ally is trying to speak in British Slang and the nerd boyfriend with toys! haha there's one scene that is quite disgusting for me..I feel disgusted when the guy grab and touch his balls and then, he smell it...EWW! Okay maybe everybody's got their kink and strange fetish...well, is it?
Overall this movie is about Ally's journey of  finding the best ex in her life. What's your number actually is about how many guy she have slept with before...Total of guys that she have slept with is 19+1. Ally is afraid that she would end up being single so she stop hooking up with new guys because she believe her so called true love is one of her twenty ex.
So as Ally's ( Anna Faris) searches for the perfect man among her twenty ex-lovers, she asks her neighbor, Colin ( CHRIS EVANS) to help her and well i think you get the picture of how they started to fall for each other right? BTW, CHRIS EVANS IS SO FREAKING HOT IN WHAT'S YOUR NUMBER :) I won't spoil your excitement to watch this movie if you haven't watch..so i won't write too much here. I give a rating of 7/10 :D

Paranormal Activity 3 (2011)

Halloween is just around the corner and it fall on the same day as Esther's birthday!:D hehe my point is, halloween equals to horror movies marathon for me :D
FYI, I love watching horror movies. I don't get scare easily when watching horror movies, so anyone want to watch horror movies with me ;D?
So have you watch PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3?? I watched this movie on last friday night with baby. and guess what? IT WAS FUCKING SCARY AND AWESOME! I never watched any horror movies until i get goose bump for few hours. Seriously, some scene is really scary especially when katie's hair is pulled by Toby....I just don't want to spoil too much of the movies detail...go watch it yourself. Paranormal Activity 3 is spooky,full with suspense and creative scary moments and i bet you will keep remembering some scenes after you watch this movie. The last 15 minutes of PA3 is the most interesting part, so i hope you guys enjoy it:D
Frankly, i can't sleep after i watch this on friday night...i have to sleep with the lights on when i got home and still, i can't sleep well because i'm too scared after watching the movie. I think Paranormal 3 is the scarier than PA 1 & 2 and i can't wait for the next PA :) I give a rating of 8/10.

The Thing (2011)

Another movie that i watched yesterday :D I know i watch too much movies instead of food blogging. Food makes me fat, movie helps me to stop me from eating too much i guess? haha crap. Anyway, "The Thing" is a Sci-Fic/Triller/Mystery movie staring some unknown stars...haha i really don't know the actors baaa..Basically its about the discovery of an alien at an Antarctica research site..I just know i feel disgusted by the thing...i wasn't concentrating too much when i watch this yesterday because i was disgusted with the thing...Overall the movie is not that bad and its has a sad ending actually..most of the characters died in the movie, only Kate ( Mary Elizabeth Winstead) survive...It remind me of Final Destination in some way... so I give 5/10 for this movie.

Love in Disguise (2010)

Okaylaah, i actually quite lazy to write another movie review.. My baby asked me to download this movie for him because he like the song from this movie. The soundtrack was awesome but the movie is just...so-so? Love in Disguise is a 2010 Taiwanese movie i think.. It was filmed in Shanghai anyway. The movie staring Wang Lee-Hom, Joan Chen, Liu YiFei, Han Dian Chen, Zhenyu Qiao and so on. The overall movie is about a famous celebrity popstar, Du Ming-Han (Wang Lee Hom) try to find his soulmate. Despite all the glamour, he felt that there is still something missing in his life after he bumped into a nerd girl, Song Xiao Qing ( Liu YiFei). With the help of Wei Zhi-Bo, Ming-Han disguised himself in the hope of finding true love. The story is very predictable...its just a normal romance movie and nothing new. Frankly, the storyline is boring but the songs are awesome :D my rating is 4/10 for this movie. ;D

Why they're so damn hot??Its a compliment by the way. haha ;D

I'm a HUGE FAN of this Korean girl band especially YURI! she's so pretty, i don't care if she had any plastic surgery before, i still adore and thinks she can sing very well even though she's just a supporting vocalist~

Please make a concert next year, i really want to see them! ;D

Party Play Cafe @ Lintas

Last night i went to Party Play Lifestyle Cafe @ Lintas for dinner with Dave.
Well, I'm pretty sure most of you heard about this place before right?
This place is so famous in KK right now and i wonder why~
I found out about this place from Esther i think..
PartyPlay Cafe has been operating since last year if i'm not mistaken.. They serves mostly western style food, yummy dessert and cold smoothies...oh they do serves alcohol too! I will come back again to try their yummy alcohol :p
Anyway, this is my first visit to Party Play Cafe, so i don't really know what is the most recommended food here..but i know most blogger recommended to try the Mango Tandoori Chicken Pizza but i just don't feel like eating pizza last night.
Personally, i think the food look delicious and classy because of the food presentation...i give 4/5 for that...but it taste normal and nothing special..Oh well, that's just my opinion :)

Aussie Style Beer Battered Fish and Chips..RM16
Well, the fish and chips served with tartar sauce. I'm a fan of tartar sauce but this definitely is not the best tartar sauce. Overall it's tasteless and oily...it taste like normal fish and chips,i actually prefer Fish and Co one than this.. Same rating, 2.5/5

 We didn't manage to finish everything actually..hehe so we kinda waste some food last night..thank god i'm not the one who pay for it ;D

Dark Chocolate Fondant with Milk Ice Cream! RM10
I love this dark choco fondant! it tastes pretty good and delicious~ Oh, guess what? it smells good too!;D The only food i'm satisfied with at Party Play so far is this choco fondant....MUST TRY!

Well,actually it was our 3 years and 11 months anniversary yesterday.
We planned to have dinner at Le Safran, Suria but sadly the tickets are SOLD OUT! Then why lah on the 15th October also they wanna do their grand opening?!
haihh....Honestly, i'm really disappointed yesterday...but life must goes on~its just a dinner anyway.. And I fucking will go there soon without their promotion and so on. ;D

p/s I updated this blog at 2.43pm now,baby at Suria right now and everything is SOLD OUT!! This is really disappointing! They have been selling it since 12pm..I know we have to grab the stupid ticket, but why they didn't mention in their website or FB if they gonna sell it earlier?
ahh seriously eff them! everything is just a damn bullshit! :( I'm so disappointed!

Peppermint @ Karamunsing Capital

Did you know that Peppermint serves Vietnamese food? :)
Peppermint is a Vietnamese Restaurant located at Karamunsing Capital near Ipoh Town and opposite another chicken rice shop which i forgot the name but i do remember the signboard very well, it says "something" chicken rice with 3 pictures of FISH around the signboard..haha what a weird signboard kan?
Anyway, you can also go to other Peppermint branches at Asia City and Gaya Street.
I always went to Asia City branch last time with my mum and my sister.
Peppermint serves mostly normal local food like chicken rice,noodles,spring rolls,beef stew and etc...but they serves it in Vietnamese style. Since I never been to Vietnam before, i never really try and know how the food taste like..but i think they localize it so it suit the taste bud of the local people here in KK.
I tried the beef stew noodles (Banh Mi Bo Kho) before, but to me it doesn't taste that great..but it was okay. I still  prefer Kuo Man or the Gaya Street shop beef stew way better..
Anyway, this is my first time eating at Peppermint, Karamunsing Capital branch.The shop is more spacious and cleaner :D.
We ordered Spicy Chicken Rice, Steamed Chicken Rice, Crispy Spring Rolls, Stuffed Chicken Wing and 2 chinese tea. Total paid is RM20.70 :)

Yummy spicy chicken! Smell good and delicious too! They use alot of lime in their sauce and it tastes really good. Give it a try, trust me, i never lie about food.

Dave prefer something steam2 one laa...i ate this before,it tastes not bad but i still prefer the roasted spicy chicken rice:D

 Just a plain rice and tastes normal also...maybe it's a Vietnamese rice? maybe buatan Malaysia....i don't know...just eat the chicken.

Vietnamese Crispy Spring Rolls RM4 .
hehe Dave wanted to try this ( i tried this before,it was okaylah,eatable).
It was a normal spring rolls, crunchy but instead of using only veggie, they use mushroom,some veggie and the thing that look like Mee hoon or Bihun...or whatever you called it.

 This is Vietnamese Stuffed chicken wing (RM4)..Same thing also, they stuffed some "Meehoon" alike inside the chicken...so it taste like eating chicken wing with meehoon at the same time.:D by the way the chicken is so small in size ehhh..

As I mentioned earlier...they used a lot of lime sauce in their dishes..it really makes the food smells good and very appetizing too:)

Big Old Brother Chicken Rice, Centre Point and Hot and Roll, Palm Square

Big Old Brother Chicken Rice ( Lower Ground CP)

Have you try out Big Old Brother Kai Fan at Centre Point?
The shop is located opposite to KFC and behind AMOS boutique.
If you ask me where to find most delicious chicken rice at CP, i would recommend you to try Big Old Brother Kai Fan! During high school years, i used to eat the Nasi Ayam(Chicken Rice) CP RM2.80 at the Basement Food Court..i hate to go there now because its too crowded and well, the place is not that clean anywhere. haha the Nasi Ayam CP is not that bad actually but well now i upgrade myself and eat something else;p
The price of food here i think normal also la,from RM6 onwards...no doubt that, the food is really delicious but nowadays their food quality decrease and serve very small portion of food..but i still like their char sau kai fan:D

Hot and Roll, Palm Square

I first try this hot and roll at 1Borneo Hypermall, i think in 2009:D haha
I think they only have two stall in KK, the other one is in Palm Square.
Well nothing special about this food actually. It tastes ok ok la..You can have either savoury or sweet in paratha/crispy. I choose chicken with cheese and Beef with onions? i don't remember the names but it costs me RM4.90 each :) Total paid is RM9.80.
