Kundasang Getaway : Kinabalu Mountain Lodge, Strawberry Garden & Desa

Kundasang is one of the most popular highland destination in Sabah.
Tourist and the locals love to come here to enjoy the nature and cold surroundings of kundasang, canopy walkaway, visit the Kinabalu Park, Hot Poring Spring, Kinabalu War Memorial Park, Desa Farm, Strawbery and Rose Garden and also to climb the Mount Kinabalu ( i'll do this one day :0)
From kota kinabalu, the journey takes about 1.30- 2 hours, depending on how fast you drive :D
Anyway, i went to Desa Farm and Strawberry and Rose Garden last year 20th - 21st of december 2010. We spend the night at Kinabalu Mountain Lodge, Kg Tinompok which is located around 1km before Kinabalu National Park.
The rates is affordable and its great place to overnight. They provide facilities such as BBQ area, Kitchen Guest and free breakfast at 7-9am.
They practice the Eco-friendly system, where they limit the usage of hot water,electricity and they also recycle,which is good :)!
But the only thing i don't like is the usage of hot water. They set a specific time where the hot water is only available during these hour : 6AM- 9AM and 6PM - 9PM. If you woke up after 9AM, then you will have to bath using the cold water~haha the water is freaking damn cold, seriously! haha lucky i woke up early that day:D
p/s please bring your sweater and wear long pants because during the night, the temperature will drop to less than 10 C! oh and bring your own towels too if you don't want to rent from them. Now, check out the pictures~

We begin the journey to kundasang i think around 10am and reached Pekan Nabalu at 1120am like that..

You can enjoy the beautiful nature scenery from here..but around 1pm the area is already covered by a thick fog.it's really cold here~

I think around 4 plus we went back to the lodge. The rest of the guys reached the Kinabalu Mount Lodge at around 3plus i think.. During the night, we having a BBQ, junk food and etc for dinner.
Since no one else staying there besides the 8 of us and lodge's managers, we stay up until 4-5am to drink,eat and chit chat? Eh wait, not me, i went to sleep early~ :D

Overall i had fun during this trip!it's been a while since my last trip to Desa and the Strawberry garden actually..haha thanks baby!
