First of all, happy national day to all Malaysian!! and also Selamat Hari Raya to those who celebrate Hari Raya, especially to all my muslim friends:D
So how was your holiday so far?
I didn't pulang kampung yesterday with my family because i don't feel well since monday night. hehe but i feel much better right now.
Since I don't have much things to do at home so i spent most of my time watching movies/series and online:D
So here is another movies review : Talentime and Precious 2009.

Talentime (2009)

Talentime is a Malaysian film directed by Yasmin Ahmad.
The movie was released on March 26th 2009 and it was her last film before her death in July 2009.
Talentime is about a talent search competition which has matched two hearts, Melur (Pamela chong plays as a Mixed-Eurasian girl) and Mahesh ( Indian boy with a hearing problem). It is mostly about love, understanding and accepting different races and religion in Malaysia. The storyline is simple but it has a deep meaning and very touching. There are a lot emotions going on the characters in this movie too. I really pity Hafiz's( Aizat) life in this movie. His mother has been hospitalized for brain tumor and died one day just before his talent show. That's sad :(.
I cried when i first watch this on youtube :(. And also i like the part where Bhavani (Jaclyn Victor) had this talk with her mum about different religion.
I think we should respect and accept others so we can live together under one roof happily in peace. Since God is Love so Love is God.
Regardless what religion/race you are, im sure all God want us to respect others and live in peace.
Honestly, if you ask me about other Malaysian movies,i seriously don't know what to recommend you guys to watch. The only Malaysian movie that i would watch over and over again is by Yasmin Ahmad. The settings in the film is simple plus all the characters is so talented and they actually can act! Unlike some other Malaysian movies, they exaggerate too much and "makeup ja tebal tapi parak berlakon" haha just saying. I wish for more movies from her actually. So i would say that her demise is a great loss to Malaysian Film Industry. Since today is 54th National Day in Malaysia, why don't you watch this movie? :)

Precious (2009)

Precious is a 2009 american film directed by Lee Daniels.
The storyline is based on the novel : Push by Sapphire. The staring is Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'nique, Paula Patton, Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz. I first watch this on Astro last week...but i forgot its on HBO or Star Movies:P
One thing for sure...damn, this movie is so sad :(
Overall, the story is focus on this 16 years old - obese girl, Claireece Precious Jones life.
She got kick out from her school because the school principal found out that she's pregnant for her second child. I feel bad because Precious is abused by her mother and raped by her own father!
She went through so many hardships in her young life.
This is a sick movie actually. How can a father do that to her own daughter??
As a result, her first child has a Down Syndrome and is being take care by her grandmother.
Later then, Precious attend an alternative school and she begins learn how to read, met some new friends that changed her life and give birth to her second son named Abdul.
At the welfare center, her mum, Mary tells the truth that Precious has been sexual abused since she was three by her father, Carl. In order to keep her man from leaving, Mary let Carl molest and have sex with Precious. Damn, what kind of mother are you!!? This type of mind set is SICK. Letting your man to have sex with your own flesh and blood is not going to make him stay or whatever it is! This reminds me of the incident happened in Malaysia, i think probably few months ago. The wife is forced by her husband to have sex with other man because the husband wants to enhance their sex life by watching his wife doing it with other guys. You f*king sick people.
She refused at first but she wants her man to be happy so she did what he asked for.
Few years later, she report it to the police and newspaper because she can't take it anymore.
Are you serious??  Why let people know after 4years??
And why would you think by doing that can make him stay and love you more??
Where is your brain actually?? It's clearly shown that he doesn't love you anymore.
If i were you, i would rather just divorce with him and go on with my life. She's a house wife i think..
So get a job, get a better life. That is why education is so important. It gives you better life and makes you think properly at least. As for me, I just don't want to depend too much on someone else. This is one of my favourite quote:
" Don't let someone become your everything because if you lose it, you have nothing left".
haha well that's only my point of view and i kinda out of the topic actually.
The last scene is of Precious walking down the street carrying Abdul and holding Mongo's hands.:D
